Enter gilded age of plenty
Fat of the land drips from the mouth
Blinded by pleasure, ignorant
Cannot see fist of oppression
A design to control masses
Too comfortable to see the need
Overlook the flaws, accept
Rationalize rather than fight
Complacent, indolent, fed from poison tree, they’ll sleep endlessly
In gold cage of corruption
Sucking the teat of tyranny
Buying campaigns of old deceit
Trusting power to break the wheel
Divided and distracted
Never to see the deeper truth
In unity can be found strength
To rebuild a world corrupted
Complacent, indolent, fed from poison tree, they’ll sleep endlessly
Rise to the call of arms and stand, lift up banners and raise the sword
Do not remain silent and cold, finding the strength hidden within
Tear down the walls of broken systems, rewarded with a better way
Taking power from the powerful, revolution, a brand new day!
Only one way to change the future
Daring to follow unknown paths
Opening minds to contemplate
Innovation and higher ways
Will we dare to break the mold
Set forth by fathers long ago
Speaking the words in spite of fear
Break all the bonds and delve into the dark

Excellent atmospheric BM that most likely would've made my top 10 if it had come out a bit earlier in the year. Gonna be spinning this for a good while, especially during the cold winter days. Roland

Not into "sludge" per se, but this Warcrab album is so versatile, no kidding, it did appeal to me. It reminded me a bit of a few bands I liked as teenager, namely Carcass and Crowbar, and that is why this one turned out to be a damn good trip down to memory lane for me ! sachavonkarl74
