Toiling through the same pain each day
Striving for the next round of suffering
Pressing ever onward to taste the reward
Only to find that nothing remains
Why is this our pursuit?
Our way of life?
Breaking our backs
For one tiny slice?
Wasting our youth
Squandering health
Struggle to survive
Yet still you find you’re left empty
Crushed, pushed down by men
The lords above
Promising a
Better tomorrow
Yet it never comes
Until the end
Depleted and tired
Worthless and frail, you’re left empty
You are left empty x 3
Pondering your decisions now
Wond’ring what more could be in life for you
Must find a way to live, to thrive
Answering the question: Why are we here?
So I hated life, because the work done
Under the sun, was grievous to me
All of it, is meaningless
A chasing after the wind. I hated all the things I’d toiled for under the sun’ cause I must leave them to
The one who comes after me
And who knows, if they will be wise?
Yet they will have, control over all
The fruit of my, toil into which
I have poured my effort and skill, under the sun. This too is meaningless. What do people get for all
The toil and, Anxious striving, with which they labor
Under the sun? All their days, their work is grief, and pain even
At night their minds do not rest this too is meaningless!

Excellent atmospheric BM that most likely would've made my top 10 if it had come out a bit earlier in the year. Gonna be spinning this for a good while, especially during the cold winter days. Roland

Not into "sludge" per se, but this Warcrab album is so versatile, no kidding, it did appeal to me. It reminded me a bit of a few bands I liked as teenager, namely Carcass and Crowbar, and that is why this one turned out to be a damn good trip down to memory lane for me ! sachavonkarl74
